Fort Ann is a town in Washington County, New York. It is located around sixty miles north of Albany, near the Vermont border. The town got its name from a fort built by the English in the town vicinity. The English named the fort after their Queen Anne. The Town of Fort Ann is about 111 square miles. It is a mix of forests, farmland, and small residential communities.
