Kingsbury is a town in Washington County, New York. It is just east of the City of Glen Falls and around sixty miles north of Albany. The town size is forty square miles and has an estimated population of 12,600 (). Kingsbury encompasses the Village of Hudson Falls. The hamlets in Kingsbury are Adamsville, Baldwin Corner, Dunham Basin, Kingsbury, Pattens Mills, Smiths Basin, and Vaughns Corners.

It is the village’s main road, entering through the northeast and south. Inside the village, US-4 meets New York State Route 254 (NY-254) via interchange near the Hudson River. County Route 35 (CR-35) and County Route 36 (CR-36) serve the northwest corner of town. CR-36 connects US-4 to the hamlet of Vaughns Corners. CR-35 runs north and south from the hamlet to the village. New York State Route 196 is the town’s largest east-west bound road that cuts through the southern town area. Taking it west brings you to Hudson Falls. Heading east brings you to the neighboring town of Hartford.

The Kingsbury Town Court serves as the town’s justice court. The Court is located in the Town Offices building on US-4 in Hudson Falls. The court handles various miscellaneous town and village matters, including all traffic citations. The village of Hudson Falls used to have its own justice court. In 2016 the village court moved all its cases to the town court and ceased operations. The court handles speeding tickets issued on the town’s main road, and various other violations issued on the village streets, like disobeying a traffic control device, failing to yield to pedestrians, and texting while driving. The town roads are monitored by the New York State Police and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. The village roads are generally patrolled by officers of the Hudson Falls Police Department; though troopers and deputy sheriffs can issue tickets in the village as well.
